Mark & Stacey engagement 1/1/2012

2012 Updates

Question: Why is it important to hire the right photographer?
All of us have those busy moments in life where it seems impossible to achieve the smallest things. Whether it be struggling to meet our daily deadlines or finding the time to do what matters most, we often lose sight of what is truly important. When you decide to hire someone for your special day, it's important that the person you hire is as equally passionate as they are talented.  A photo shoot should be a meaningful experience, not just a transaction. Choosing the right photographer is essential to getting everything you expect and more.
Question: What did you learn in 2011?
2011 was a year full of growth and unexpected success.  As a small business owner, I found myself learning on the go as well as treating each new challenge as an opportunity to grow. This was most evident during my “Living Social” campaign. Admittedly, I entered the agreement with limited expectations and was both equally excited and apprehensive when the number of redeemers grew right in front of my eyes.  My focus immediately had to shift to finding the time and energy to satisfy hundreds of new clients.  A calendar year suddenly became a shrinking window and I was presented with a new situation the likes of which I had never experienced in my professional career. I also learned that each client had a unique vision of their perfect photography experience. Accommodating the number of new clients presented a unique set of challenges. Shipping, tax, gas, and packaging were things that I had never had to consider before.  Through careful time management and the support of my family I was able to satisfy the majority of my new clients. This could not have been possible without the patience, kindness, and support of almost all of the people I had the opportunity to work with.
Question: What can we expect from Snap Saas in 2012?
My main goal is to share my vision with as many people as possibly while keeping my prices affordable. As a wife and mother of three, I realize we don’t always have the financial capacity to make all of our dreams an immediate reality.  Value becomes a key priority and is my main focus entering the new year.  Unfortunately, we all have to deal with rising cost of living and doing business. I am not immune to this situation. In 2012, all family and children’s photography sessions will be $199.00 plus tax. This will include a 90 minute photo session, 15 edited images (photographers choice), and the opportunity to purchase additional edited images through my online gallery. Each session will also include the permission to print.  This takes both the hassle and monetary commitment out of having to purchase individual prints. Think about having the opportunity to share your special experience with everyone you love for one flat rate! I think you will find this to be the best value in the industry.
In conclusion, I’d like to thank everyone I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with throughout this past year. I look forward to capturing your special moments in 2012 and the years to follow.
